West Sussex County Council (WSCC) is seeking candidates to fill two full-time positions on its Economic Growth Team, based in Chichester. The Council is recruiting for a new Business Investment and Development Officer and also a Europe Funding Lead Officer. The salary for both roles is £33,857 to £36,571, and the closing date for applications is 17 May.
The Business Investment and Development Officer will be responsible for the overall management of a Business Finance project (part of the Coast to Capital Local Growth Fund), including: advice to businesses on eligibility and project development matters, budget management, liaison with Finance and Legal Services, monitoring of overall programme and individual projects, preparation of claims and reporting to the Accountable Body. The successful candidate will also participate in developing, delivering and managing initiatives associated with support programmes for start-ups and growing businesses as part of the Economic Growth Programme.
The candidate who takes up the role of Europe Funding Lead Officer will work within the Economic Growth Team, with lead responsibility for leveraging European funding to help achieve economic priorities across West Sussex.
